Baleak 003 Teak

Description

A series of one-off pieces featuring the life-size monumental sculptures created by Bruno Lehoux and Philippe Gray Lopez since 1992.

Inspired by the graceful movements of large cetaceans, this sculpture is part of a series that reproduces the diving sequence of a humpback whale, its tail fin emerging majestically from the ocean surface before reaching the immensity of the deep blue.

Table sculpture made of recycled teak slats, glued and then carved. Eco-friendly Rubio® oil finish.

Signed “BALEAK – LEHOUX” and dated ©2020 on the underside.

These unique pieces combine the warmth of polished wood with the sensual curves of these large marine mammals.
