The general shape is the silhouette of a humpback whale’s tail, raised vertically <\/em>The general shape is<\/i> the silhouette of a humpback whale’s tail erected vertically on the ocean surface during an event called “breaching”, i.e. the moment when the whale propels itself wholly or partially out of the water.<\/i><\/em><\/p>

This work subtly plays on notions of fullness and emptiness, permanence and impermanence, presence and absence. <\/em>and absence, like a Yin-Yang duality dear to Eastern philosophy.<\/i><\/p>

The sculpture is a stack of vertical slices separated by spacers of the same material. Slice thickness and spacing can vary according to the material used and the desired effect. <\/em><\/p>

At certain angles, the sculpture reveals only the thickness of its edges, seeming to dissolve into its surroundings. <\/em>environment. On the other hand, in a corner perpendicular to the previous one, the stacking of strata creates an impression of mass, offering the viewer the complete form of the work. <\/i><\/p>

Bronze is a timeless work of art. These are genuine sculptures that stand the test of time and develop a patina over time. The change in standing is noticeable for both the prescriber and the public.<\/span><\/em><\/p>

With glass, stainless steel, Corten steel or lacquered steel, the contemporary touch is noticeable. Inspired by the caudal fin of a humpback whale raised vertically to the surface of the oceans during an event called “breaching”, i.e. the moment when the whale propels itself entirely or partially out of the water.<\/i><\/p>

Breaching” can have several meanings <\/em>communication, territorial claims, pest elimination, hunting aid or observation of the surface.<\/i><\/p>
